A Reason Why People Move to Naples
One of the reasons I was excited to move to Naples, Florida from New York City was due to the numerous quality places to eat and enjoy a cup of great coffee. There’s no better place to be along the Gulf Coast of Florida for food and lifestyle options like you find in Naples. The businesses I selected to highlight are places I’ve visited numerous times and still want to go back! They are also located closer to the Downtown Naples area although there are plenty of wonderful options in North Naples as well. Stay tuned for a possible follow up on this blog post about North Naples restaurants too.
Favorite Heath Cafe
Food & Thought is a great place to shop for organic groceries or healthy prepared food to order at their food counter and recently relocated coffee/juice counter. Conveniently located on Route 41, it’s always an easy pit stop while heading from the Downtown Naples area to North Naples. They have excellent food items such as soup, sandwiches, salads and platters. I typically get the sprout salad with a piece of grilled salmon on top. I really enjoy the tropical inspired outdoor seating area with tables and live music after 4pm on some days.
Favorite Italian
Campiello Italian Restaurant located on 3rd Street South has been my favorite since we moved to Naples, FL in 2015. Everything is top notch. The fantastic food, service and ambiance can be enjoyed for a quick lunch at the bar, a family dinner in one of the outdoor seating areas or inside where you’ll hear the hustle and bustle of the open kitchen. My favorite place to sit is on the front patio or at the bar. Homemade pasta is always popular and try the short ribs if in the mood for a savory rich dinner. The calamari is breaded with a unique batter that has a spicy kick. For dessert we always order an affogato (expresso & vanilla ice cream).
Favorite Coffee
Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii always reminds me of my wedding and honeymoon which we spent in Maui and O’ahu. The option to have 100% Kona Coffee is amazing and if you prefer a lighter blend or latte they can accommodate. A recent renovation and expansion allows plenty of places to sit both outside and inside the coffee shop. Check out their fun swag too!
Favorite Steak
D’Amico’s Continental on 3rd Street South has excellent steak options. Consider the Waygu, Tomahawk Ribeye for two or the Porterhouse for two. But don’t worry, if you’re not into steak they have a special menu area entitled, “Not Steak” with pasta, seafood and chicken options. Live entertainment is typically on the weekends and the outdoor seating area in set in a garden of Bougainvillea and other native Florida plants.
Favorite Brunch & Food Truck Park
360 Market & Celebration Park are next door to each other on Bayshore Drive. They share views of Haldeman Creek and both offer fun outdoor experiences as well as terrific food options. Brunch at 360 Market is my favorite. Opt for the omelets and request the homemade strawberry jam for the toast, delicious! Celebration Park has a smorgasborg of food trucks such as Mexican Food, seafood, lobster rolls and Indian Food! Or just grab a seat at the outside bar and enjoy cocktails with all the new friends you’ll meet just by hanging out. Don’t forget to look for the music and entertainment schedule to if you wanna catch some live music at Celebration Park.
